Breakfast at The Buena Vista is a MUST. It’s known for its Irish Coffee but be sure to order a breakfast and stay for the company. It never disappoints.
Visit The Buena Vista Here and be sure to drop in when you go to San Francisco.

This photo is one of a group of photos that I took very early in the morning as people were getting ready for the day ahead. It was quiet and I enjoyed looking for photos along the shore from here to Fishermans Wharf.
During the second world war there was a program called the British Commonwealth Air Training Program. The planes in the photo above were from Number 6 RCAF SFTS located at Dunnville, Ontario. My father was a Flight Instructor at that base.
You can learn all about the Air Training program by clicking Here.
If you attend air shows then you may have seen a flyby that commemorates the Canadian perspective of our contribution. In 2004, at the Abbotsford Air Show, I saw a flyby that was Very impressive and brought tears to my eyes.
I’m glad I was there to see it.
It’s just a short helicopter flight from Canmore and this is what you will find. Just behind us and over the last mountain range is the Trans Canada Highway 1 from Calgary to Banff. Ahead of us is what you see as soon as you clear that first range. So close to civilization, yet so far.
The Patriots performed at the 2015 Miramar airshow. They fly the L-39 Albatros. You can check them out Here
A group of photographers went on a day trip in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The trip was part of a National Geographic Photo Expedition. Models were there at the movie ranch to be photographed in an Old West movie set. Something you don’t get to do very often.
Spirit Island is located on Maligne Lake. There are photos of Spirit Island that date back a long time. They were done in black and white and the result was very spiritual hence, I like to think, the name Spirit Island. I’ve seen that photo but I couldn’t find it in a Google search.
I decided to take a shot that I did of the island a few years ago and give it an entirely different look. I like the original photo but I settled on this version for now.
